QuikStore Catalog Wizard Overview

The program edits your product data directly into the products.dat database file. It also automatically creates the option files for you and updates the category select box on the search page when you add or modify product categories.

When you enter data into the Catalog Wizard, it automatically adds or updates the files in the c:\quikstore\server_files directories. These are the files that get uploaded to the server.

Here's what it does:

1. When you save a new category, it updates the Category select box in the c:\quikstore\server_files\search.html page. 

2. When you enter product information, it adds or edits the products.dat file in the c:\quikstore\server_files\cgi-bin\database directory.

3. When options are entered, it automatically creates an option file for the selected product in the c:\quikstore\server_files\cgi-bin\options directory.

4. On the View menu inside the Catalog Wizard, the Program Options allow you to select the different types of database template pages and things like the number of columns and maximum number of records to display per page.
